Predicting the big day

With classes under our belts and the nursery almost done (more to come on my very fatherly achievements on that front), we've been making some predictions on when the boy will make his grand entry.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling he'll be early, as noted in a previous entry. Partly this is based on hope and partly because people have said that when a mother works late into the pregnancy (as my wife is), the child is usually early. Not sure if it'll turn out that way but we'll soon find out. Stacked against this is the statistics; most first-time mothers go over if anything, often by around a week.

I have plans to go to the Carlton v Hawthorn game in a couple of weeks, where Buddy Franklin and Brendan Fevola may both be shooting for their 100th goals (Buddy will probably get his the week before though) and I do suspect that I won't be at that game but will be at hospital - would be great to tell my boy that I missed a once-in-a-century shootout because of him!

Predictions from a few of us (the predictions I can remember) are:

Let's see who gets the closest!
